Below is an overview of services provided during the most recent fiscal year (October 1-September 30). In addition to serving the people in our four-county catchment area, New Hope Midcoast’s 24/7 helpline takes all calls that come through the state-wide helpline as well as calls from individuals who prefer to speak with an advocate at an abuse violence resource center other than the one closest to them.

*Out-of-area clients include those who call the statewide helpline from out-of-state phone numbers and clients who have moved away but still require support for an ongoing court case in our catchment area.

*New Hope Midcoast has a staff embedded at the Department of Health and Human Services to address issues involving children.
Financial Information
New Hope Midcoast’s annual income includes both state and federal funds that help cover direct advocacy services, youth educational programs and community services. These funds also pay for portions of staff salaries and specific program expenses. Sources for federal funds include:
- Victims of Crime Act (VOCA)
- Family Violence Prevention Services (FVPS)
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- Social Services Block Grant (SSBG)
- Child Protective Services Rural Grant
- State funds include Funds for Healthy Maine (FHM)
- MaineCare (specifically reimburses for targeted case management
Our organization generates additional income through fundraising including appeals and events, municipal funding from the towns and cities we serve, the United Way, and other charitable entities.
